Emerging Standard — Electric Vehicles

EV Detailing
for a New Generation

Electric vehicles — Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, and emerging electric marine platforms like Voltari — carry different surface and safety considerations than combustion vehicles. We're building our EV protocol around those differences now, ahead of the Panhandle's growing EV market.

Get in Touch

DR&ND is actively developing dedicated EV service packages. If you own a Tesla, Lucid, or another electric vehicle in the Panama City area, reach out — early clients help shape the protocol, and we'll assess your vehicle personally rather than apply a generic approach.

Why EVs Need a Different Approach

Charge Port Sealing

Charge ports and their electrical contacts require water-tight masking during any wash or coating process — a step combustion vehicles don't need.

Non-Conductive Products

Products used near battery compartments and high-voltage components must be selected for non-conductivity, not just paint safety.

Regenerative Brake Dust

EVs produce less traditional brake dust but different wheel contamination patterns from regenerative braking systems — wheel care is adjusted accordingly.

Aluminum & Composite Panels

Many EV platforms use aluminum or composite body panels with different clear coat behavior than traditional steel — correction technique adjusts to match.

Watching the Panhandle's Electric Marine Sector

Electric propulsion is emerging in marine as well as automotive — brands like Voltari are bringing electric boats to Gulf Coast markets. The surface science is largely the same as traditional gel coat and hull care, with additional consideration for electrical housings and charging interfaces. As this market grows in Panama City, we intend to grow with it.
